《英雄传说:闪之轨迹》是由日本Falcom公司开发制作并发行的一款多平台角色扮演游戏，于2013年9月26日在日本首次发行。2014年6月24日发行官方繁体中文版和韩语版。该游戏于2014年9月25日发行续作《英雄传说:闪之轨迹Ⅱ》的繁体中文版和韩语版。
『英雄传说 闪之轨迹Ⅰ:改 –Thors Military Academy 1204-』的繁体中文版、韩文版移植至Nintendo Switch。
游戏中玩家将扮演主角黎恩，带领队员们为了解开各种迷团在大陆中开展冒险。
从枪声响之后，帝国的命运就此改变了。以刺杀铁血宰相吉利亚斯·奥斯本为开端，贵族联军开始了对绯之帝都海姆达尔的占领。随后出现的是巨大的飞行战舰“Pantagruel”（パンタグリュエル）和被称为“机甲兵”的机战人形兵器，这支庞大的部队很快就完全改变了帝国内的势力图，帝国内战爆发。
一边是拥有压倒性军队数量和新式武器、斗志昂扬的贵族联合军，另一边则是拥有训练有素士兵和机甲师团、宁死不屈的帝国正规军。埃雷波尼亚帝国内战，比预想的更惨烈。在不知什么时候战争才能够终结的预感中，人们都开始战栗，并被无法改变帝国现状的无力感所击垮。
在这之中，托尔兹军官学院特科班“Ⅶ班”成员黎恩·舒华泽在荒凉的山岳地带中觉醒。出现在身边的是一只会说话的黑猫和一名巨大的灰色“骑士”。Ⅶ组的同学们，黎恩的这些在一起经历并突破了无数次的试练的不可替代的伙伴们却在此时不见了身影。在黎恩意识中断前听到的只有伙伴们离别的话语、黎恩发出的恸哭和尖叫。急速迫近的蓝色巨影、绝望的战争开始后地上的惨景，黎恩的脑海中残酷鲜活的记忆得到了浮现。
“大家没事吧，总之得先回学院！”挣脱了黑猫的制止，无视灰色巨大身影的黎恩，带着渺茫的步伐开始走下山岳地带。那就是动荡的日子与所有一切走向终结的开始。
